Fish is healthy. The German Nutrition Society recommends eating fish once or twice a week and points to the health-promoting effects of marine omega-3 fatty acids. The human body needs these, but can only produce them itself to a limited extent. In addition, fish is an ideal and easily digestible source of protein, especially as an alternative to meat, and is therefore becoming increasingly popular.
