Based in Cuxhaven on Germany’s North Sea coast, LIPROMAR produces high-value unmixed fish oils and fish proteins for use in the food industry and other sectors. The key to creating our high-quality products is our use of high-quality raw ingredients. By exclusively working with by-products from the fish-processing industry, we are also helping to create a sustainable future for our fish stocks.
Our fully automated production facility entered service in 2015 and meets all the requirements of European regulations on the hygiene of foodstuffs (852/2004, 853/2004 and 854/2004). This state-of-the-art plant supports batch processing of incoming raw materials to create unmixed fish oils and proteins. The nutrient-friendly process enables the production of high-quality, food-grade fish products.
All raw materials are checked for quality on arrival. Once approved, they are processed within a maximum of two days. Regular quality checks during the production process ensure the quality of the finished product. Working closely with our suppliers, we are constantly developing new ways of improving our processes. LIPROMAR complies throughout with all EU regulations on the hygiene of foodstuffs and holds IFS certification.
Globalisation continues to have a major impact on LIPROMAR’s operations in Cuxhaven. In order to maximise its potential around the world, the company is now a subsidiary of the global SARIA Group. As part of an international group of companies, LIPROMAR can expand its presence in the relevant sales and procurement markets, thereby boosting earnings. The Managing Directors of LIPROMAR GmbH are Christian Bisgaard and Bodo von Holten.
